The University of Hamburg

Welcome to the University of Hamburg! As one of Germany's largest universities, the institution offers a diverse curriculum and is known for outstanding research.

Degree programs are offered in a wide range of disciplines, and the University has an extensive network of partnerships with leading organisations on the regional, national and international levels. The University also owns and operates several museums and historic collections, such as the Zoological Museum, the Herbarium Hamburgense, the Geological-Paleontological Museum, the Botanical Gardens and Hamburg Observatory.

The University of Hamburg has numerous buildings offering ideal facilities for conferences and conventions. Even larger events can be held parallel simultaneously within a conveniently compact area. There is a variety of food options for breaks, and the location and access are excellent as the main building is directly opposite the Dammtor ICE train station. Your guests can stroll off campus over to the nearby Alster lake, or in to the downtown area, similarly close by.

Discover a 'universe-ity' of convenient distances. We look forward to your visit!
