18th Annual DNEbM Meeting 2017

Participants praise the 18th Annual Meeting of the  German Network for Evidence-based Medicine (DNEbM)

The German Network for Evidence-based Medicine held a conference in the main building and wings of Universität Hamburg from 9 to 11 March 2017. A total of 490 participants attended the DNEbM event to spread and develop EbM concepts and methods in industry, teaching and research.

The motto of this annual meeting was “Quality over quantity - combating worthless science”. The conference also dealt with issues surrounding the topic of “The future of evidence-based health care”. The Thursday, for instance, was reserved for functions by the specialist fields and workshops on methodology. There was also plenty of room for discussions on how to inform patients, help them take decisions and devise helpful guidelines.

The event and conference management team of Universität Hamburg Marketing GmbH was responsible as a full service provider for organising and carrying out the conference. Both the content and the organisation of the event were praised by many participants upon its close:

  • "Everything worked just fine - a great conference!”
  • “Thanks for the fantastic conference!”
  • “The congress was highly inspiring, well organised and pleasant. The flower arrangements were magnificent! Without being evidence-based, they made a positive contribution to the overall event in my view.”
  • “The conference in Hamburg was absolutely wonderful. I was impressed and feel highly motivated and inspired! Congratulations! I appreciate the vast amount of work that goes into preparing an event like this.”
