The Auditorium Maximum

Hamburg's largest auditorium

The ‘Audimax’ seats 1,674, making it the largest auditorium in the city of Hamburg. The venue is excellent for smaller events as well,  as the auditorium can be divided into two completely separate rooms by a retractable partition. Erected in the late ‘50s, this shell-shaped building has lost none of its aesthetic charm, with a curved roof that creates a sense of lightness and a large, friendly front facade of glass. An event venue with tradition:  the legendary band Pink Floyd played in the Audimax in 1970! Organisers still like its acoustics today, which is why the hall is often booked for concerts, readings and events.
